Your First Step

If you are considering abortion, an ultrasound is your first step. An obstetric ultrasound can give you the answers you need about your body and pregnancy and also give medical providers the answers they need to provide information on all the options available to you. The providers on our list offer ultrasound services at no cost to you. They do not refer, perform, or provide abortion services at any of their locations, but can give you the health and safety information you need to make an empowered choice.

An Obstetric Ultrasound Can Determine:

  • If the pregnancy is viable and if a heartbeat is detected.

  • How far along you are. This information can determine abortion costs and the abortion method.

  • The location of the pregnancy and rule out an ectopic pregnancy. If there is a possibility of an ectopic pregnancy, a future ultrasound would be required. It is not safe to take abortion pills or have a procedure if the pregnancy is not located in the uterus.

  • Whether or not you are carrying a single fetus or multiples. This information can also determine the cost of an abortion procedure.

Ultrasounds can also give you the peace of mind you deserve before making a decision. It's the safest option and best first step if you are considering an abortion.

Contact a location near you for a free ultrasound so you can know for sure.
