The Abortion Pill: What You Need to Know
When it comes to reproductive health, we believe women always deserve real, honest answers. That's why we don't sugarcoat side effects or what to expect and we are committed to sharing up-to-date information so you can make an informed choice. The organizations we refer to do not benefit from your reproductive health decisions, provide or refer for abortion services, or charge for any of the pregnancy services they provide.
How It Works
The abortion pill is FDA-approved up to 70 days (10 weeks) after your last menstrual period (LMP). It works differently than emergency contraceptives and should not be taken if your pregnancy has not been confirmed and an ectopic pregnancy is ruled out.
The first drug blocks progesterone, a hormone required for the pregnancy to develop. The second drug starts contractions and the labor process to expel the fetus. Side effects can increase if you take additional abortion pills. You can find the full list of drug reactions here.
If you've already taken the first dose and changed your mind,

Note: Due to cases of laced drugs and online abortion providers bypassing important safeguards, the FDA does not recommend buying abortion pills online. An abortion at home without medical oversight can also open you up to additional risks.

Your Health & Safety Comes First
Book an ultrasound at one of our free clinics so you can know exactly how far along you are and if the pregnancy is viable. The abortion pill cannot be taken if the pregnancy is not occurring in the uterus so it's important to also rule out an ectopic pregnancy.
You can get the answers you deserve without pressure or cost involved. These clinics do not charge for their services, provide or refer for abortion services, or profit from your reproductive health decisions.
